BulletIntroduction

Whether you are having your reception at home or in a function room, a few key decorative items can really liven the place up, hide unwanted or unsightly areas and make all the difference to the atmosphere of your celebration.

Bullet - White EdgeFlowers

As simple or as complex as you want them to be, use flowers to continue a style or theme or add a splash of colour

Simple structural flowers such as gerberas, sunflowers can look contemporary without being too adult. Pretty English flowers such as freesias, peonies and roses can be used to complement a more traditional style celebration.  See our Flowers Gallery for more inspiration.

Bullet - White EdgeBunting, Garlands & Banners

Quickly liven up even the most uninspiring room or venue with garlands or banners.  Colourful fabric bunting looks fabulous draped round the garden for a summer party at home - perfect for a shabby chic or vintage look. Paper lanterns dotted around the room or hanging from tree branches are an inexpensive way of adding colour and interest.

See our gallery for some of our favourite bunting, garlands and paper lanterns in a wide range of designs to complement your reception theme.  Many can be personalised to add a special touch to a naming ceremony or christening party.

For a fun and economical way of brightening up your party, create your own custom printed personalised banner.

Bullet - White EdgeTable Decoration

Simple posies or balloons look great as table centrepieces for a sit down lunch or to brighten up the buffet table. Don’t forget a table plan and place names for a formal seating arrangement (try our Table Planning tool).

Bullet - White EdgeFavours and Party Bags

"Bomboniere" or almond favours originated in France and Italy centuries ago and were traditionally given to the female guests at weddings and christenings.  The five sugared almonds symbolise health, wealth, fertility, happiness and long life.  These days, favours can be any small gift - check out our Favours and Party Bags Gallery for traditional favours and ideas for a modern twist as well as children's party bags.

Bullet - White EdgeComing soon - Styling/Theming

Over the coming weeks we will be bringing you various "styles" to inspire you and transform your celebration into something really unique and memorable. From a Vintage Afternoon Tea to a Teddy Bear's Picnic, we will be showing your how you can easily recreate the look in your home or venue.
